Write 31 Days.

Hi friends!

I wrote last month about how I was trying to write more than the occasional blog post. As much as I love writing, I always put writing ideas on the backburner for other things, or worry about peoples’ reactions. I’ve decided to do something a bit out of my comfort zone: Write a blog post daily for the month of October.

31 blog posts.

That’s a lot.

Thankfully there’s a whole community of people doing the same thing, over at Write 31 Days.

There are a lot of topics and ideas that I’ve thought about. But, my Five Minute Friday community has come up with a whole month’s worth of 5 minute freewrite topics. And I decided for the 1st time doing this, that was the best thing for me to do. The 5 minutes fixes my time/procrastination issues, and I feel like freewriting is better for me than 31 days of 1 topic (I’m not gonna lie: I’d probably get bored).

I might veer off on some days to my own topic, but I’m going to stick to the 5 minute rule (ok I turn it into 10 sometimes whoops). For someone that writes sometimes weekly, this will be a good way for me to dip my toes in to this whole thing.

Who knows? Maybe this will help me begin to write more.

I hope so.

  1. HI, I”m you nearest neighbor for today; so happy to meet you! I’m participating this month in order to help my thoughts and my writing flow more freely, and, like you, to blog more often. Peace and hope!
