Today’s prompt: Value.**

GO.

 ⁴ But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, ⁵ even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— ⁶ and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, ⁷ so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. ⁸ For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, ⁹ not a result of works, so that no one may boast. ¹⁰ For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:4-10 ESV)

Without him, I don’t have much of value to offer.

I have good traits and qualities, but He gave them to me;

I have plans and goals, but they fail if they aren’t from Him.

I have nothing if I don’t have him. 

And yet, He gives us value. His value.

We are no longer slaves, but free.

no longer lost, but found.

no longer worthless, but full of value.

Because when we were dead, he brought us back to life.

Our value is placed within us because of who is in us- not who we are or what we do,

but who He is,

His love for us,

and what He’s doing in us.

Without him, I don’t have a lot to offer that’s valuable.

But with Him in me, I give value to the world– all for His glory.

Not because of who I am,

but because of who He is

I have value that I never had before.

Not through what I’ve done or do,

but because of Him in me, doing beautiful things through me, my value is immeasurable.
